    The Alabama Shakespeare Festival is currently accepting applications for part-time/flex-time positions in our Box Office.  In particular, we are looking for folks who are enthusiastic about theatre, comfortable with ticketing software and excellent with customer service.  The position pays minimum wage, but includes some theatre lover perks including tickets to shows!  Primary hours are weekdays 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., with some evenings 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and/or weekends 12p.m to 4 p.m. or 8 p.m.  (You would not be expected to work every night or every weekend.)  Excellent communication skills and computer skills are important, but most importantly you will serve as an ambassador of the art onstage at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival.  If interested send a resume or fact sheet to:  No Calls Please  EOE M/F/H/V

    The Alabama Shakespeare Festival is looking for an Electrics Intern for our 2014-2015 Season. ASF produces an 8-10 show season in 2 theatres, three of which run in repertory.

    The successful applicant must have basic demonstrated experience hanging, circuiting, and focusing stage lighting equipment. Previous knowledge of basic electrical theory, wiring, circuiting, soldering, DMX, and operation of computerized lighting control systems is required.

    We need a self-starting individual who is able and willing to work independently at times with minimal supervision. Good communications skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to effectively work as a part of a team is necessary.

    Duties include, but are not limited to: Helping hang each plot, focus, wiring of practicals, some programming (including moving light programming), general board-op duties, helping maintain the integrity of the light plots, and helping maintain the general lighting fixture inventory.

    Recent college graduates as well as prospective graduates looking for internship credits towards their degree are welcome to apply. Some work and experience in other production departments may be possible throughout the year.

    The position start date is September 15th, 2014 and runs through May 24th, 2015. (Please note that as our calendar for next season is finalized, this contract may be extended through Mid-August, 2015.) This position pays a bi-weekly stipend and includes housing. Please note that benefits are NOT provided.
