KENNETH L. ROBERSON (Director) choreographed the 2004 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Avenue Q. Other NYC credits include: All Shook Up, Purlie (Encores!), Harlem Song at the legendary Apollo, A Boy and His Soul, Frog Kiss (dir,) Jazz a La Carte (dir/cho.--Wall Street Journal's best of 2011.) Regional credits include: Director; Frog Kiss (World premier Virginia Stage Co.) Dir/chor: Crowns, Lady Day at the Emerson Bar and Grill, Ain't Misbehavin', all at Arena Stage; Once on This Island at Baltimore Center Stage; Spunk, Cinicinnati Playhouse, Ray at Pasadena Playhouse; The Color Purple (world premier-chor. At the Alliance in Atlanta.) Film work includes HBO's Lackawanna Blues ;Preaching to the Choir, , Brother to Brother and John Lequizamo's House of Buggin'. Awards include two NAACP Awards, Emmy Award nomination, Lucille Lortel Award nomination, Drama Desk Award nomination and ADELCO Award. Kenneth's one man show Middle Aged Passage Crisis has garnered a NYC cult following and played Baltimore Center Stage.
