Schoolfest matinees at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival bring your lessons to life on stage. Let us enhance your teaching program through exciting, invigorating performances that offer students an experience that makes learning fun and exciting. Each year thousands of students from across Alabama and the Southeast attend Schoolfest weekday K-12 student matinees. These weekday matinees provide an opportunity for students to see curriculum-linked productions at greatly reduced prices.
Before You ReservePlease take note of our grade level recommendations. The Alabama Shakespeare Festival asks the group leader to take responsibility for whether a play is appropriate or not for their particular group. The Alabama Shakespeare Festival does not censor or edit the content of the Schoolfest performances. Due to the nature of live theatre information on language, setting, and length will be available closer to the opening of the show. We will answer your questions about the plays to the best of our ability. All performances start promptly at 10:00 AM unless otherwise noted.
*ASF is conveniently located near the Montgomery Museum of Fine Art in the beautiful Blount Cultural Park, two blocks from Exit 6 on I-85. Teachers can maximize their field trip by visiting both the theatre and the museum.
