Hearts will flutter and hips will shake when Elvis Presley and Buddy Holly return to the Alabama Shakespeare Festival on Friday, February 14, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. for a special Valentine’s Day concert featuring the love songs of two Rock ‘n Roll giants. Elvis will be performed by Scot Bruce and Buddy will be performed by John Mueller. This show sells out year after year! Don’t miss it!
The special Valentine’s Day concert will feature sets of famous love songs by Elvis and Buddy including Love Me Tender to Suspicious Minds and Oh, Boy to That’ll be the Day!
CNN raved that Scot Bruce is “the closest they can get to Elvis in the flesh.” The Hollywood based Bruce has entertained audiences all over the world including Australia, Japan, Hong Kong and several places in Europe and South America. His summer concerts at ASF over the past five years have played to sold out houses.
John Mueller won a New York Drama Desk Award for his portrayal of Buddy Holly in the musical smash Buddy Holly Story. Mueller also performed as Holly in the national tour of the celebrated musical. The Chicago Tribune noted, “John Mueller is living proof of Buddy Holly’s legacy.”
