DENISE GABRIEL (Movement Consultant, The Three Musketeers, Othello, The Comedy of Errors) is the resident Movement Coach at ASF and a member of the PAT/ MFA Program Faculty. Her most recent work, in November, 2007, was in Capetown, South Africa, at the Artscape Theatre working on Merchant of Venice, Dance for All. She was awarded a TCG/ ITI Fellowship, which included collaboration meeting with the Baxter and Market theatres in Johannesburg. ASF work includes Winnie the Pooh, Gee’s Bend, Crowns, Henry VI, Taming of the Shrew, Man of La Mancha, A Christmas Carol, Coriolanus, The Comedy of Errors and Disguises. She came to ASF after being a Fellow of the Seminar at Schloss Leoplodron, Salzberg, Austria, where she was Movement Director for The Three Sisters. In New York, she performed with The Working Theatre. International credits: Shanghai Theatre Academy (China) and British American Drama Academy (London). She is a founding board member of the Association of Theatre Movement Educators (ATHE). Regional credits include the Old Globe (San Diego), Cincinnati Playhouse, Clarence Brown Theatre and Seaside Music Theatre.
