Brett has worked professionally for over twenty years as a Sound Designer and Musical Director. Notable musical directing credits include: The Rocky Horror Show and The Fantasticks at Meadow Brook Theatre, Side by Side by Sondheim at BoarsHead Theatre and It Ain’t Nothin’ but the Blues at Detroit Music Hall – all winners of Detroit critics’ awards for Best Musical Performance. Brett has composed original soundtracks for numerous productions, including King Lear, Angels in America, Ride Down Mt. Morgan, Talking With and Of Mice and Men. Recently, he was involved with the highly successful world premieres of Gee’s Bend and Thinking of You as well as Rocket City here at ASF.
